Harry Hardrive and the Horrors of the Haunted Hippodrome

Summer Fun

I made this film as part of a summer camp experience with Plotline Film & Media Education. It was a two-week camp that was hosted at the Alamo Drafthouse. We spent the mornings there every weekday, and we got to eat lunch off of Alamo’s menu. I had the best time.

The end result was Harry Hardrive and the Horrors of the Haunted Hippodrome. It premiered at The Moxie on August 15, 2022.

Highlights

  • As I mentioned, eating lunch at the Alamo every day.
  • There were older kids at the camp who had more filmmaking experience than I had. I learned a lot from them. For example, it was the first time I’d ever done stop-motion animation. Since then, I’ve used stop-motion in a class project, and I totally learned how to do that at this camp.
  • I liked being at the Alamo Drafthouse. It was so fun to be in the movie theater when it felt like after hours. Technically, it was “before hours,” but you get what I mean.
  • The Moxie is an awesome place for a movie premiere! So many people turned out to support us, and the vibe was really good in the theater.
